Sublimation
What’s sublimation?
In simple terms, dye sublimation is a printing method by which a design is transferred into a material or fabric using ink and heat. The inks used in dye sublimation are unique in that they can convert from a solid to a gas without passing through a liquid phase. The conversion from solid to gas is initiated by heat and then controlled with pressure and time. The images and graphics are printed on special paper placed on the garment and heat is applied, allowing the ink to become part of the fabric. This method yields beautiful, permanent colors in an unlimited amount of combinations, which are embedded into the fabric rather than printed on the surface. This will leave you with a more breathable, soft-hand feel to the fabric.
What are the advantages of sublimation?
• Unlimited colors & logos with no added cost.
• Produces vibrant colors.
• Ability to create complex all-over sublimation designs or prints on the front and back of your uniforms.
• You can’t feel the print at all, giving the fabric a soft feel.
• Sublimation print will not crack, peel, or fade.
• Because sublimated jerseys and uniforms are custom made, there is no need to worry about a uniform being discontinued next season. It is also easy to reorder from us in the future as we keep your design on file.
How long do custom uniforms take to produce?
4 weeks after we receive confirmation that artwork and roster have been approved for production and we have received your deposit.
What kind of files can be used for my logo(s)?
We can only use vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator, .eps, or .ai format.
I don't have any vector artwork for my design. What should I do?
We have a design team that can create the artwork for you from our stock designs. If you would like us to recreate your logo there is a custom artwork fee, and we will need approval to move forward with artwork creation before we create any artwork, even for the proof.
Can I do anything to make my lead time faster?
The best way to ensure your order arrives quickly and on time is to make sure you have submitted all the required documents for your order. Once production has begun on your order, you will receive your order in the specified lead time.
